Scripture: 1 John 1:5–9
… if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
Today’s Reflection
John reminds us that God does not merely possess light—He is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. To walk with Him is to live honestly, stepping out of hiding and trusting that exposure leads to cleansing, not condemnation. Confession is simply naming what is true; forgiveness and renewal are God’s faithful work. This episode explores how Lent invites us into the healing light of love. The light is not a threat—it is a gift.
A Prayer of Presence
God of light,
Draw me out of hiding. Shine gently but clearly on the places I would rather conceal. Teach me to trust that Your light does not shame me but forgives, cleanses, and restores me in love. – Amen
A Prayer to Carry With You
Breathe in: Your light heals…
Breathe out: … what it reveals
