Scripture- Matthew 5:5
“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.”
Reflection
In a world that prizes domination, Jesus presents a different kind of strength—the meek, or gentle, will inherit the earth. Meekness is not weakness; it is power under full control. It is the humility that resists grasping for control, choosing instead to trust God’s timing and authority.
Jesus is the perfect example of meekness: strong enough to calm storms, yet tender enough to welcome children; bold enough to confront injustice, but silent before His accusers. Real meekness flows from dependence on the Spirit, not from striving to make life bend to our will.
Jesus’ promise is astonishing: the meek will inherit the earth. This world belongs not to the arrogant or the oppressive, but to those who surrender their strength to God’s direction.
You don’t need to depend on your own ability or desire. When you yield your will to His, you find a deeper power—the authority of love, the security of God’s promise... the quiet assurance that your place in His Kingdom is secure.
