Chapter 23
Jake arranged to meet Dallas Thompson on Thursday morning since that was a day that no one else from hospice would be visiting and Dallas would have more energy for other things. He arrived at the beautifully landscaped and manicured property in East Milam County to visit Dallas, not knowing exactly what kind of reception he would get. Mrs. Thompson answered the door of the double-wide mobile home and graciously but cautiously welcomed Jake in.
