When Patience Meets the Promise
They weren’t there for the birth in Bethlehem.
They didn’t hear angels singing or follow a star.
But they had been waiting quietly, faithfully, and for years.
Simeon and Anna were not part of the main Christmas pageant, yet they hold a crucial role. While the world remained largely unaware of who Jesus was, these two elderly prophets recognized Him in the Temple as an infant. They saw what others missed. They understood what others ignored.
And their faithfulness teaches us that sometimes the most powerful part of the story comes after the miracle, not before.
