Scripture: Luke 1:26–38
Reflection
When the angel appears, Mary’s ordinary life is interrupted by a calling that will reshape her future. After asking her honest question, she responds with a courageous surrender: “Let it be to me according to your word.” Her yes is not passive resignation but active trust in God’s unfolding work. This episode reflects on how love in the wilderness invites us into the same posture of surrender—trusting God’s word even when we cannot see the whole path. Sometimes the most faithful response is a quiet, wholehearted yes.
Prayer of Presence
Lord,
Let Mary’s words become my own. I bring You my questions and my fears, yet I choose to stand as Your servant. Let it be to me according to Your word, for Your will is wiser than my plans. – Amen
Carry This Prayer With You
Breathe in: Let it be to me…
Breathe out: …according to Your word.
Until next time:
Stay steady.
Stay open.
Stay present.
You are still… here.
