Scripture: Genesis 22:1–14
When God asks Abraham to offer Isaac—the son he loves and the promise he waited years to receive—the request is almost unbearable. Yet Abraham responds with a posture of surrender: “Here I am.” On the mountain he learns that the test is not about loss but trust, and that God Himself provides what is needed. This episode reflects on the courage to place even our most treasured gifts back into God’s hands. Love in the wilderness invites us to trust the character of the One who provides.
Prayer of Presence
God who provides,
You see the deepest loves of my heart. Teach me to hold every gift with open hands. Even when I do not understand, let my “Here I am” rest on trust in Your goodness. Amen.
Carry This Prayer With You
Breathe in: I trust You…
Breathe out: …with what I love.
Until next time:
Stay steady.
Stay open.
Stay present.
You are still… here.
