Day 31: I am God’s Friend
The journey of presence ends not in servitude, but in friendship
Scripture: John 15:15
No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn’t know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you.
Imagine the Creator of the universe looking at you with a warm smile and calling you… friend.
Not servant.
Not stranger.
Friend.
Friendship with God is not symbolic—it’s real, intimate, and personal.
Jesus opened the door to this friendship by sharing the Father’s heart with us. He didn’t hold back. He invited us in, fully and freely.
Friendship with God means you are seen, known, and loved without fear.
It means you can speak to Him honestly, walk with Him daily, and live with the assurance that you are never alone.
He shares His wisdom with you. He walks beside you. He delights in being with you.
This kind of friendship changes how you live. You no longer have to reach for God—because He’s already beside you, sharing in your joys and your sorrows.
You are not just loved.
You are befriended.
Practice for Today
Treat God as your closest friend today.
Talk with Him in ordinary moments—while walking, waiting, or working.
Thank Him. Laugh with Him. Ask for help.
Simply be with Him.
