Scripture: Luke 22:42
He said, 'Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.'
At the heart of true love is surrender.
On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus faced soul-wrenching sorrow. He didn’t hide his anguish. He prayed honestly. He was burdened with the weight of what was ahead—but even in His sorrow, He surrendered to the Father’s will.
Surrender is not passive. It isn’t giving up. It is a bold, loving act of trust.
It means believing that God's way—though difficult, delayed, or mysterious—is ultimately good. It means releasing your need for control and placing your life fully into His hands.
When you say, "Not my will, but Yours," you echo the heart of Jesus. This is not a prayer of defeat. It is the doorway to peace, to purpose, and to deeper communion with God.
Surrender is how you step out of fear and into freedom.
It’s how you stop carrying what was never yours to hold.
It’s how you discover that God’s love is strong enough to carry you, even when the path is unclear.
Today, you are invited to surrender—not with dread, but with a deep and abiding love.
