Scripture: Esther 4:14
“Who knows if you haven’t come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Esther didn’t set out to be queen. She wasn’t chasing influence, a platform, or power. As an orphan she didn’t have a lot of prospects or even much hope for a future. She was simply living her life when God placed her in an unexpected position—one that carried both privilege and responsibility.
When the Jewish people faced destruction, Esther’s kinsman Mordecai reminded her that her position wasn’t an accident. Her place in the palace was not just for her comfort—it was for her calling.
This is the heart of purpose: understanding that where you are right now is not random. Your job, your neighborhood, your relationships, your skills—all of it can be used by God to bless others.
Purpose is not about self-promotion. It’s about self-giving. It’s about seeing your current place as a platform for God’s love. You are where you are for a divine reason and purpose.
You don’t need to wait until everything feels ideal to be used by God. You don’t have to figure out where you are supposed to be. You are already in position. The question is—will you step forward when the moment comes?

Help me see that where I am is not by accident.
Show me how to use what I have, where I am, for Your purposes.
Give me courage to act when You open the door. Amen.
