Why the Whole World Is Watching the Children of God
Most of us think of salvation as something personal.
Our faith.
Our relationship with God.
Our future.
But in Romans 8, the Apostle Paul says something much bigger.
“The creation waits with eager expectation for the revealing of the children of God.” (Romans 8:19)
Creation is waiting.
The world is watching.
In this episode of The Bible Unplugged, we explore how God’s plan moves beyond personal salvation toward the renewal of the entire creation.

Bible by Design
Typology Mirror: Exodus & Romans 8
In this episode, we introduce a new way of seeing Scripture called Bible by Design.
Sometimes the Bible reveals patterns that go deeper than individual stories.
One of those patterns appears when we place the Exodus story next to Romans 8.
They reflect each other.
This is what we call a Typology Mirror—two parts of Scripture reflecting the same pattern at different points in the story.
The Big Idea
God is not only rescuing people.
He is restoring the world.
And the revealing of God’s children is part of that restoration.
A Question to Reflect On
If creation itself is waiting for the children of God to be revealed…
What might it look like to live today as someone who belongs to that coming renewal?

This episode is part of the Held in Grace series.
We are exploring what it means to live from the grace God has already given—and how that grace shapes identity, hope, and daily life.
A Practice for This Week
As you move through your day, remember this:
You are living in a world that is still groaning…
but you are also carrying the firstfruits of what is coming.
Offer peace.
Offer patience.
Offer steadiness.
Offer hope.
Live as a sign of the world God is making new.
Closing Thought
The world is not abandoned.
Creation is not forgotten.
Its groaning is not meaningless.
The God who began this story in grace is carrying it toward renewal.
And if you belong to Christ…
your life is part of that promise.
