Scripture: Luke 7:36–50
Reflection
In a room thick with judgment, a woman known only for her sin kneels at Jesus’ feet and pours out tears, perfume, and unguarded love. While others see her label, Jesus sees her heart. Her extravagant act is not an attempt to earn forgiveness, but a response to mercy already received. This episode reflects on the safety of Christ’s presence—a Savior who can hold both our shame and our tenderness without flinching. When we bring what we most want to hide into His light, we do not find humiliation, but peace.
Prayer of Presence
Jesus,
I bring You the parts of my story I most want to hide. Let my tears be welcome to You, my vulnerability safe in Your presence. Forgive me much, and teach me to love much in return. – Amen
Carry This Prayer With You
Breathe in: Thank you for loving me…
Breathe out: …in spite of my faults.
